How do you "operate" the
"TETRAHEDRON"

The Tetrahedron points in the direction to land....

The Tetrahedron

The Tetrahedron is a highly visible wind indicator. Observable from as high as 3000', it's an invaluable aid to landing for both skydivers and pilots. Knowing the wind direction is key to a safe landing. Early detection is what the Tetrahedron affords.

Following the direction of the Tetrahedron is simple. As the image above shows, landing direction is towards the point of the device. The Tetrahedron "points" towards the direction one should be landing.

Only the best materials and workmanship are used in the making of these wind indicators. They are painted in vivid and long lasting colors. Each unit is individually tested for balance and response in all wind conditions.

The prototype was built and tested in the harsh conditions of Maine. Each unit measures 15 feet in length, with a tail height of 10 feet.

Visibility is a key feature of the Tetrahedron, especially in light wind conditions where a wind sock hangs limp and becomes hard to see. The Tetrahedron shows the wind direction no matter what.

You'll never have to buy a windsock again. The tetradirect is a low cost low maintenance guide to wind directions for your airport or skydiving center. For additional cost these can be custom made for night time use. For information and pricing please contact Mike Chambers at chambers5@psouth.net
